Rivers access survey

I have been asked to forward this to members. Please read below:
Good morning,

I am writing to request some assistance from your club with some research I am currently undertaking. My name is Tom Kelsey and I am a postgraduate research student at Newcastle University. As part of my thesis this year I am examining rights of access to English rivers, from the perspectives of canoeists and kayakers, looking primarily at their experiences of paddling inland rivers within the parameters of the current level of access provision.

A section of this research involves collecting extensive quantitative data - in the form of a survey-style questionnaire. I would like to incorporate a wide range of nationwide clubs within this section of the research, in order to get as wide a view of perspectives as possible and, as such, to represent the views of the boating community more accurately. I would be extremely grateful if, in your capacity, you could assist with the distribution of this survey to the club you represent.
The survey is available for completion online for added convenience and can be accessed by clicking on the link below. It is anonymous, and once submitted, responses are sent directly to a spreadsheet, so there is no need to save and email back etc…

I would be very grateful if you could forward this email, with the above link included, around your clubs mailing list for individuals to complete if they wish. If this is not possible, please get in touch and I can arrange to send some hard copies of the survey to your club. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and forward it to your members, I am very appreciative of your help in this matter

Kind Regards

Tom Kelsey
