What to wear kayaking
I though this needeed clarifiying, so we have it in the forum somewhere, its a question we get asked (or see people wearing not ideal kit.) so heres some ideas and reasons.

Please remember you may go in the water at some time - its cold - even in the summer, and you still need to paddle back.

1) Wetsuit

Its ideal, especially if it fits, its one piece, and its warm in the water.

2) Wetsuit shoes

Can be dirt cheap, innoffensive, provide grip and comfort on the sharp sharp gravel.
(Trainers can provide problems with dangly laces.)

3) other stuff

Themals, thermal rash vests, Dry cags etc etc, all good if appropriate. Dont forget we can provide cags etc if needed (better taken in the boat than left behind. - any warm kit is a good idea)
