UKCC Level 1 coach (TBC March 2010) - Deferred

Postby ospooner on Fri Mar 05, 2010 9:57 am

This course will be run by J-P Eatock. It will be 2 weekends.
The cost will be £200 per person. The club will partly subsidise this (the exact amount is to be discussed). Help to the tune of £50 may also be available from the coaching fund.
The prerequisites are:
  • UKCC 2 star (or old 2 star in canoe AND kayak)
  • Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (the new Canoe Safety Test)
  • Current first aid certificate (optional, but preferred)
  • CRB check (this will be done by the club for all coaches and committee members)
See this pdf for more information.

Right, I have my 2 star kayak (Hopefully the BCU has some record, cos I don't have a certificate) but no 2 star open boat.. and I'd really like to do this!

I guess I could do the one in April.

There is £150 funding available to those who turn up to a meeting in April, so the L1 courses will be deferred until after that.
