How can I add my own article to the site? You will need to log in first. The controls for adding your own content will then appear. I have added an article. How can I find it? You can find it using the search facility, or by following links from other articles. How can I make a link to another article? Make a link to "article.php?id=" followed by the number of the article you want to link to. See the BBCode guide for more information. How can I change the article I wrote? Find the article and click the edit button at the top. The edit button isn't there! Log in. How can I add images and formatting to my article? You can improve the visual aspects of your article by adding BBCode tags. See the BBCode guide for details. I like using a web page editor (like dreamweaver). Can I use this to make an article? No. Why not? Because the articles are written in BBCode not the HTML that web pages are written in. Why not use HTML then? Allowing HTML articles would mean that an article could break the layout of the site. Also letting just anyone add HTML content would be a serious security risk. The advantage of BBCode is that it is simpler than HTML, and also can allow for features to be added in (such as the live tide table on the sluice page). I have written a page in HTML. Please put it up. So rewrite it in BBCode and put it up yourself. But there are things I couldn't do in your stupid BBCode. Anything that I haven't implemented in the BBCode translator for this site probably wouldn't be in keeping with the overall site style. If there is a particular feature that you would like added, send me a request by email and I will see what I can do when I have time. You cheated. The articles already up there are in HTML. No I didn't. No they aren't. So there.
